And there is such a lot i could tell you that sakızağacı and i decided to share the story. But well this means that i have to do it in english.
We arrived some days ago, but there are so much things to see and do here.. you know. May be i can tell you later cause i now start with the story of our amazing travel.
Ok, we startet thursday in the early afternoon.
Fırst we took the S-Bahn and the third lift was the Bus nr 76. Well, that was not so interesting.
5. We didn`t talk so much cause he was a very quite guy from Schmiedeberg, which was the place he took us too. We heard some techno-love-songs, the kind of music which was popular in the early 90s
- dumdidum dıdeldum…I will love you for ever..dıdeldummdıdelum -.
I just couldn`t avoid singing this stuff the whole day through which was a little bit hard.
7. Since this day in the morning the route 55 is closed for TIR so there was nearly no traffic at the time we arrived in Teplice. So we took the offer from a very nice person to take us to Usty.
9. It was later night and we where just a few meters after Prag. Our next station on this way was a very conservativ but friendly christ from Brno. We talked a lot about his view on society and moral. I hope we could approve all his concernes that today nobody cares for his old values. He was a little bit homophob - it was really more a phobia - and I tried to give him the feeling that it`s just too late for everything and better to accept that the world has already changed. I know that this is not true but I thougt it was the best i could do in two hours. I think he really liked us cause he took us to a station after Brno just because our talk was not finished before.
11. Now it was early friday morning and we took the fırst possibility to do 50 km on the highway with a guy that said nothing but ok and that he is taking us to the next cross at the begining.
13. Two old boys in one old car took us over the Bratislava-donaubridge.
15. Now last station before Budapest. We were so hungry and the petrolstation was a quiet and unfriendly place. They told us that their toilet was broken and wantetd us to stay outside. But we where really lucky cause we met a car gang. They where a couple of guys comming from Macedonia Bulgaria and Jugoslavia which was his self-identification. They where taking cars from germany to bulgaria and didn`t care about us joining their group. We where even invited to join their brekfest - bread and meat. Yes i was eating meat. Not just eating - i can tell you. The last time i ate something was more than 10 hours ago and i thought that it was a good time to stop not doing things because i usually do so. After this we fell asleep and woke up a few meters in front of the serbian border. They told us to pass alone cause they expected some problems…
So we went by foot and stoped at the very best petrolstation of the world. They saved sakı the last time he passed serbia and were really happy to meet him again. We where invited to drink coke and coffee and talked a lot. Then we decidede that it was time to look for our cars. And we found them.. in trouble. They where in a big hurry jumped into 5 of the six cars and where away. We still don`t know what happend to the last one but ıt was time to search for a new lift.
17. After passing serbia we where really tired. We met a truck that was going to Iran and asked him to take us to Sofıa. First we had to drink a tee with him at one of this strange truckstops along the road. I fell asleep soon and so i don`t remember so much about him. But i woke up in Sofia at 6 in the morning. We both had never seen Sofia befor and needed a braek.
19. We took metro to the center and ckecked in to Hostel Mostel. This was a real backpackerhostel with real backpackers. Strange guys and not our style. But the hostel was cheep and we had a real bed, slept 14 hours, saw a lot of Sofia, bought coffee, drank a good bulgarian whine, had a lot of discussions and left the city the next morning.
21. The Bus nr 5 brought us to the highway again. We talked again to a lot of people and they helped us to get out at the right point.
23. Again standing at the side of the highway we joined two a little bit mafia-style dressed guys that took us 30 km along the road. This was not very sensefull but nice.
25. We had to pass the bulgarian-turkish border by foot which was only possible half the way. There is a lot of stupid burocracy in this world and one is that you are not alowed to pass about 100 m of this more thar 1 km long border by foot at night.
27. Was very strange. But first he invited us to eat and have tea with him. He transported something that was obviously very heavy for the US-army to Irak. He was a totaly normal truckdriver going alone this dangerous way. He didn`t knew what was in his truck and on his front he had a a sheet of paper on which was written that he was transporting goods for the US-army. We think that it was either beer in cans and burger or soldiers in boxes waiting for him to get kidnapped. I myself prefere the last one because he was passing more than 2000 km with this big sign on his car. We wanted to go to Istanbul with him but at a station 100 km from Istanbul he got very tired. He parked his truck an fell asleep - just on his seat. As it is a bigger problem to arrive at the border of this big city late at night we thought this was not so bad and went to the station-restaurant. There we met a guy who was doing his army-stuff at the moment. Before that he hitchhiked in amerika himself and that`s why he fell in sympathy to us at the very first moment he saw us. It was his job to look at this very dangerous station so we had a lot of time for a very nice conversation about european union, tolerance and politics in general. The bar guys where also very nice. Of course we had no tukish mony at all and not so much euro with us and so they invited us to tea the whole night throughWe waited tıll sunrise for our driver to wake up but nothin happened. So we said goodbye to him and started to hitchhike on the road again.
29. This was a little bit bad. I was very tired and this guy was trying to put his hands on my arm. I gave him my very disgusted look and he didn`t try again. But he asked for my telefonnumber. I smiled and repaeted that i really don`t understand what he wanted. Then he showed me a list of names and numbers and i was so bored that i gave him a wrong number and than he fell asleep. We arrived at early morning ina very sunny city.
Now there`s only left to say that you can find the rest of the story at sakıs place. I go out now and try to do a lot of thing that i usually never do at home. Once i started this i so much love this life that is so different from all i usually do.
